Wholesome Ransom: GMTK Gamejam 2023
Overview
Wholesome Ransom begins with a simple mistake: you click the wrong download button out of 30 identical ones on a suspicious website.
???: "Famous hacker, how dare you get hacked!?!"
???: "Well… it's too late now. Go YEET those pesky viruses out of your Doors OS computer! And seriously—install Doors Defender next time."
This frantic mini-chaos game puts you inside a pixel-art PC simulator where pop-up ads multiply nonstop while you navigate your fake file system to locate and delete viruses before they spread.
My Role
As the Art Director, I was responsible for all visual elements, including:
- Complete visual direction and art style
- Creation of every in-game advertisement
- All UI assets and in-game visuals
- Illustrations for the intro video sequence
